An enterprise system can often effectively use Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP or Voice over IP) to communicate between major sites, effecting significant cost savings. Full functionality needs to be offered at branch offices. For smaller sites, this can include inbound calls routing to head office when the local switchboard is unoccupied. Where a significant number of staff are mobile, unified messaging and the ability to dial in (from home or mobile phone) to collect voice messages are significant efficiency options.
