Remote Access is the ability to get access to a computer desktop server facilities or network from a distance. It takes many forms – for example home users could access via dialling in, through a VPN connection provided by an ISP or directly over the Internet. In some situations where resources required are ‘processor heavy’ an intermediary service such as Citrix Presentation Servers may be required.
